How to install OpenSSH Server on ubuntu 8.10

1. openssh server is not installed by default on ubuntu 8.10 so use this command to install it

root@ubuntu:~#  apt-get install openssh-server

2. view the sshd_config on /etc/ssh/sshd_config make sure it has configure correctly

3. if the service not started, use this command to start openssh server

root@ubuntu:~# /etc/init.d/ssh start

4. you can use this command to stop openssh server

root@ubuntu:~# /etc/init.d/ssh stop

5. or you can restart it

root@ubuntu:~# /etc/init.d/ssh restart
